Grandma's Park

Natalie got to play outside with some of her cousins at Grandma O's house this evening. She kept saying "park" as she was swinging on the big girl swing. Here's to hoping that playing at Grandma's park wore her out enough for a good night's sleep.

Accessorizing

Natalie has been uncharacteristically in to accessories lately. She drapes a string of my (fake) pearls around her neck and dances around the house saying "pretty". She is also starting to love hats, and I'm hoping that a love for bows is coming next.

She needed her sunglasses and neon green bracelet for our walk yesterday, and today she added her K-State hat to the ensemble. Hopefully her style gets a little less dorky with age.

Hello, Sunshine

Dare I say that today felt like a spring day?

To my dismay, Natalie chose the wagon over the stroller for our walk this afternoon. The wagon is just a bit large and awkward, and at 34 weeks pregnant I don't think I need any help in the large and awkward arenas. In the end we probably both had more fun with the wagon though, so Natalie was right.

Natalie narrated most of the walk to me - "birds, kids, truck, pup....," and we were only briefly interrupted by an elderly man who thought we looked like we needed a world news and politics update.

All in all, great walk.

Hello, Sunshine! Please stay a while!

Blogger's Block

Maybe it's because I've been sick. Maybe it's because this cold, snowy winter seems to be never-ending. Maybe I've just been lazy. Whatever the reason, I've been suffering from some serious blogger's block lately hence the piddly three posts in February. Hopefully March will bring with it some new inspiration (and some sunshine).

Until that inspiration hits, here are some pictures of our ever growing, ever learning, ever talking girl.

Happy Valentine's Day

Natalie had a day full of Valentine's treats, but her favorite treat was probably the hand-delivered princess sucker from cousin Mary. Not too many things excite Natalie as much as Mary and candy.

I was finishing up the dishes while Natalie had her snack yesterday afternoon. I heard her saying "big big mess" and turned around to this.

Snowed In

I've been hearing a lot about "cabin fever" on Facebook and blogs lately. Everyone seems to have had enough of this snowy weather. While I absolutely wouldn't mind warmer temperatures and the return of our morning walks, the home-body in me is enjoying this slower, quieter season of our lives as well. We've been doing a lot of reading, baking, dancing, and just being. Sometimes "just being" is all we really need.
