Birthday Treats

Emma was excited to take birthday treats to preschool this morning.

 

Emma is 5!

We had a fun day celebrating Emma today! She got ready for church this morning in record time so that she could open presents before we left. We had donuts on the way home from church, spaghetti for lunch, and a fun party with family in the afternoon. She got lots of new craft supplies to keep her busy over the next few weeks. Now we wait for her biggest present - Baby Sister!

Birthday Zoo Trip

Emma asked a few days ago if we could go to the zoo and Firehouse Subs to celebrate her birthday, so today we made it happen. I was worried that we'd be too cold, but 32 degrees and sunny without wind actually felt really nice after the negative wind chills we had earlier in the week.

We got to watch the zookeeper feed the penguins!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Natalie, Max, and Emma all came home from school with lots of candy from their classmates, and Isabel successfully mooched much more than her fair share of their treats. I think she probably ate half of Emma's candy, but thankfully Emma was excited to share.

Balance Bike

Isabel can glide on the balance bike now! I noticed her doing it this afternoon, so I asked her when she learned how to glide, and she said, "Oh, I just grew up."
