We have been on chicken duty while our neighbors are away for the weekend. Today two little foxes were eyeing the chickens while I gathered eggs.

Pumpkin Patch Party

We all had such a fun evening at the pumpkin patch for Natalie's birthday party!

Natalie is 10!

This evening Natalie said that this was a really fun day, and I have to agree. We all genuinely enjoyed celebrating Natalie and all that she means to our family. She is everyone's helper and everyone's friend, and we're all so happy that she's ours.

Abigail has been pulling herself up onto her feet for a while, but now she is really standing and getting stronger. I keep telling her to slow down and that she's too little to stand!

Playing Catch-Up

Weekend in YC

We all had a lot of fun at my parents' house this weekend. We picked pumpkins, and we finally got to try out Grandpa John's new trails through the woods.

Walk to School Week

We always walk to school (until we get too cold!), so this week wasn't much different for us other than the prizes the kids got for walking and the pictures that they took once they walked inside the door.

Natalie and I were setting the table for supper while Chris and the other kids were outside this evening. Emma ran in and said, "You HAVE to see Abby and the pumpkin!" so Natalie and I hurried to the front porch where our whole family oohed and ahhed and gushed over Abby's cuteness.

Biking to School

Today was Bike to School Day at the elementary school. We live so close to the school that I think it might almost take more time to bike than it does to walk once you add in the extra time for getting the bikes and helmets out and parking the bikes in the bike racks!

7 Months

Abigail is 7 months old!

I am a week behind with my blog post because I couldn't for the life of me get a picture of Abigail sitting still! I tried over and over. Every time I sat her down, she was crawling away before I could get in front of her to take a picture, and every time I laid her on her back, she was rolling over before I could get a picture! This picture is from our family pictures that we had taken last week, and she was nervous enough that she sat still. 

Abigail is just the sweetest little girl. It seems like someone in our house is always gushing about how sweet she is. She loves to play with her siblings, and she is usually content to crawl around exploring whatever has been left within her reach. 

She really likes to eat table food now that she is getting the hang of it. She likes cooked apples, bananas, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, peanut butter toast, refried beans, pizza crust, crackers, Cheerios, and shredded cheese. We have a lot of fun feeding her and watching her eat. 

She is such a happy baby, and she is such a light in our lives. We love watching her grow and learn. These seven months sure have been fun.
