Male Model

We got Max's newborn pictures taken last Friday afternoon. He was nine days old. I had heard that taking newborn pictures can sometimes take hours, so I was prepared for a wild ride, but Max was a pro, and we were done in thirty minutes. I LOVE how they turned out. We have so many good pictures to choose from including these that our photographer posted on Facebook.

One Week with Max

At one week old Max has slept, eaten, slept, eaten, survived Natalie's increasingly rough hugs and kisses, peed on me only once, stolen our hearts, and slept and eaten even more.

Outnumbered

Today was my first day at home by myself with both of the kids (I'm still getting used to referring to them as "the kids"). I probably started worrying about the logistics of this day as soon as I found out I was pregnant with Max. Surely having two would be twice as hard as having one, right? In some ways, yes, but in most ways, not at all.

I actually had more fun today than I have had at home in a long time. Not that staying home with only Natalie wasn't fun. We had so much fun with just the two of us, but we also had a lot of free time on our hands. We were much busier today, and busy is fun. I had also really been missing my Natalie time over the last week, so I was glad to be back to our (new) normal today.

I know that it won't always be this way, and I really hope I'm not jinxing myself. We'll have good and bad days, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well my first day of being outnumbered went.

Meet Max

He's here! Max Christopher O'Halloran was born at 8:50 am on April 16. I was beginning to think he'd never come, but he made a perfectly timed entrance on his due date. After less than five hours of labor our big boy was here - all 9 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inches of him. I'm fairly certain there has never been a more loved little boy. I have so much I want to say about him and our new life as a family of four, but while I gather my thoughts here are some pictures from his first days.
