Meeting Callen

Callen Lee, our newest nephew/cousin, was born Thursday morning, and we got to meet him today! No matter how many newborns I see, I think I'll always be surprised by how teeny tiny they are. Teeny tiny and precious, oh so precious. Natalie just knew that Callen needed her to hold him, and on the way home she said that maybe next time Callen can come to her house and run around with her.

Shrinking

Max is shrinking. He is wearing the same shirt in both pictures. The first was taken today (with a mouthful of watermelon), and the second is from last October.

Pastimes

(I googled the spelling of that title, and it's right even though it looks very wrong to both Chris and me.)

Park playing, baking, and shopping. It's what we do.

Pretend School

The big cousins are going back to school next week, and Natalie is sure that she goes to "pretend school". Pretend school is even better with new backpacks filled with bubbles, paper, and colors from Grandma Patty. The kids used them to take their library books back a few days ago, and the cuteness was too much for me not to force them into taking a holding hands picture.

Max's First Haircut

It was time. I love Max's hair, but it was time to get it a little cleaned up. It was getting too hard to keep under control. More often than not, his hair was a frizzy mess of yogurt and sweat, so it was time.

He did so well! He nervously held my hand the whole time, but he sat still and even tried catching the hair as it was falling.

I wanted to keep his same look, so I just asked for a trim. What a handsome haircut!

Peachey

Max and I have been eating peaches like they are candy lately, so we jumped at the opportunity to pick fresh peaches at Entz Orchard this morning. We went there a couple years ago for apples in the fall, but this will be our first time trying their peaches. We can't wait for them to ripen!

A Perfect Morning

We had a perfect morning at the park today. The weather was beautiful, the kids played nicely together, no one got hurt, and no one spilled their snack. We just played and enjoyed one another. Perfect.

Cyclists

We tried out our new bike trailer tonight, and it was a big hit. We may have found a new hobby or at least a way to burn off a cookie or two!
