This Week

We had some beautiful, warm days early this week, and Max spent his evenings punting his football around the yard.

Emma started saying "Isabel" instead of "Ibabel" just a couple days ago. I realized she has also been saying "I don't know" instead of one of my favorite Emma phrases - "No Emma know." Why is she growing up, and how do I make it stop??

We ended our week with a fun new Christmas tree lighting event here in town. We helped with the count down for the lighting of the Christmas tree by city hall, Santa read stories at the library, and local businesses were open late and handing out treats. This picture with our cotton candy from the hardware store is the only picture I took, but it was a fun kick-off to the Christmas season.

Christmas Concert

Natalie and Max were both so excited for their school Christmas concert last night. They have been singing Christmas songs at home for weeks. They put on a great show!

4 Months!

Isabel is four months old today and is as sweet as can be! It seems like she gives me this grin every time I look at her. 😍

This is such a fun age! Her personality is really starting to unfold, and we love getting to know her. She is a really happy and content baby. She is becoming quite the chatterbox. She talks and talks to us and her toys. She giggles now too, which is just the sweetest sound.

The big kids are completely enamored with her. Natalie and Max call her Izzy, and Emma calls her Ibby or Ibb (short for her pronunciation "Ibabel").

She seems like such a big girl all of a sudden! She holds herself up so much better and is starting to reach for toys and is so close to rolling from back to tummy. Watching her grow and learn is so much fun! Happy four months, sweet girl.

Lately

I ordered this warm, fuzzy suit for Isabel to wear on our daily walks to and from the school, and it came today just in time for school pick up. She had just woken up from a nap when we left, so I carried her instead of putting her in the stroller. She snuggled into my shoulder and was back to sleep once we got back home.

It's a little big, but she will grow into it!

Here's Emma looking like a big kid on one of our walks to school.

We ate lunch with Max at school last week. He was very excited to have us there and very protective of Emma. They held hands until we got our food.

We visited my parents on our way to our cousin's baptism last weekend, and Grandpa John had made a new trailer for the kids to try out.

Isabel has moved up to the baby bathtub now because she is much too big for the sink!

And we'll end with a cute smile for good measure.

Towers

Max has been asking Mrs. Flaming to send me pictures of his towers lately. ❤

Long Weekend

Natalie and Max had Friday and Monday off of school, and the kids had the best time playing all together. They spent hours and hours outside and played elaborate pretend games. They were so fun to watch. Sometimes a change in routine can cause lots of grumpy attitudes, but sometimes it's just the break that we need.
