Stretching

Natalie and I are running/walking (all walking for me!) in an all female 5k at the end of April with a team of elementary school girls, teachers, and moms. The girls are practicing after school once a week until the race, and today was the first practice. Natalie wasn't able to run much of it because of a sore leg, but she still had a fun time. She led Emma in stretches and a run around the house when she got home.

Emma's Horse

We got Emma a bouncy horse for her birthday, and it has been a huge hit! She bounces all over with huge smile.

Disney on Ice

Erica gave us tickets to Disney on Ice for Christmas again this year. The show was this afternoon, and we agreed that this show was even better than last year's! We had great seats right up front and center, and Natalie sang her heart out with her favorite Disney songs. Thanks again, Erica!

Spring Break!

We spent the first few days of Natalie and Max's spring break on a fun trip to Kansas City. The kids were all so good, and we had a really great time! Our big stops were Legoland and the zoo, but the hotel pool and ice skating at Crown Center were just as exciting.

The Cat in the Hat

Natalie still likes Emma, Max, and I to walk her into school instead of dropping her off at the front door. On these extra cold days, I sometimes wish we could just stay in the warm van, but then we would have missed seeing this cute Cat in the Hat painting hanging in the hallway.

It's a Girl!

We had a fun little gender reveal with the kids tonight at supper! They bit into their cupcakes to find PINK filling for a new baby sister!

We were all surprised because we had all guessed that this baby would be a boy. I have now been wrong about all four of our kids! I should have known that she was a girl since I had guessed boy!

Finding out that she is a girl has been such a fun and exciting surprise though! We were a little worried that Max would be disappointed because he had been hoping for a brother, but he was really happy with the news. He was singing a song this afternoon (before the pink cupcakes) about the baby and not being able to wait for summer, and one line of his song was, "I hope it's a boy, but a girl is okay toooooo." He loves his Emma so much that the idea of another little sister isn't so bad.

I love love love ultrasound day. Not just because we get to find out gender, but because we get to see our little one wiggle around on the screen. I feel such a connection to them after watching them move. I could watch all day long! The little glimpse that we got of our little girl today makes me even more excited to get to know more about her soon!
