Happy Halloween

Little Bo Peep and her sheep really got into trick-or-treating this year. They are also really into raiding their candy buckets. Natalie is wearing a "vintage" costume made by Grandma Patty for me many many Halloweens ago.

Family Pictures

We get the kids' pictures taken a lot, but we are very seriously lacking in the family picture department. Chris and I don't love having our picture taken, but we agreed that we aren't getting any younger or more beautiful, so we decided we might as well do it this fall while we were already taking pictures for Natalie being three and Max being eighteen months.

Pam Weaver from here in Hesston took them, and we had the best time. Posed pictures don't really happen with a three year old and eighteen month old, so we just played, and the pictures turned out so great. I love the story that they tell about this stage of our life.

Birthday Weekend

Natalie turned three over the weekend! We celebrated all weekend and had a great time, but now we're all ready for an easygoing week. Natalie has been ready to be three for months, and this morning she told me that now she's almost four.

She got a "queen cape" from our neighbors and hasn't taken it off much since.

P&M Pumpkin Ranch

We had the best time at the pumpkin patch Saturday morning. Natalie couldn't quit talking about how much fun she was having. This pumpkin patch has only been open for two years, and they pulled out all the stops. Prepare for picture overload because we did EVERYTHING.

Go Swathers!

This evening was full of school spirit. We went to the middle school football game to cheer on cousin Owen, left in the middle of the game to walk to the homecoming parade, and then returned to the game to watch the Swathers come out with the win.

Paraphernalia

Natalie has needed to take random things on our walks for quite a while, but now Max is starting to join in on the hoarding.

This is how we went to the park today:

You better believe those buckets were full of treasures.

Just a cowboy, his baby, and his jack-o-lantern.

New month, New 'do

Where did this big boy come from?

Max had his second hair cut today, and we went for the little boy look this time instead of trying to hold on to the baby look again. His new look has had me swooning all evening. It seems to fit his little toddler personality perfectly.
