Two Months

Emma is two months old today!

Natalie called her "jolly" this morning, and I have to agree. She is quite the jolly little girl.

She weighs around 11.5 pounds. That's almost 4 pounds more than she weighed at birth, which is so strange to think about because she still seems so little. How tiny was she two months ago?!

She is such an easy-going baby so far. She sleeps and eats on the go every day as we're out and about with the big kids, and she sleeps and eats through constant noise, pats, and hugs while we're at home. She has yet to experience (and probably never will experience) a quiet day, but her days are so so full of love that I don't think she minds the lack of peace and quiet.

We love you, Emma Madeline. More than you'll ever know.

Max's Birthday Party

Max has been requesting a digger cake for his birthday party for months, so a digger cake is what he got. It felt a little funny to have his party a week after his actual birthday, but today was the day that worked best for a party since his birthday fell on Easter Sunday this year. The party was a success. The birthday boy had so much fun that he asked why his party was so short once everyone had gone home.

Our day was full of smiles and playing outside (as well as some crying and whining, but that part of our day isn't pictured).

Max is three!

Max turned three yesterday on Easter Sunday! We did Easter Bunny, birthday presents, and birthday blueberry muffins (that Max requested and then didn't eat) early in the morning before church.

After church, we drove to Yates Center for Easter lunch which was followed by birthday ice cream cake and more birthday presents.

Max brought his new ride-on tractor along with us to Yates Center. Here he is in action heading down to Grandpa John's pond:

Twins, Trims, and a Fairy

Natalie and Emma aren't the only ones with matching outfits around here. Max and I accidentally wore matching shirts today.

Natalie got her first haircut this afternoon! She was really excited for her much-needed trim.

Summer baby clothes are my absolute favorite, so Emma has been wearing cute little rompers now that the temperatures have been in the 70's. Natalie said Emma looked like a baby fairy with the flowers and ruffles on this one.

Zoo Day

We have been excited to get back to the zoo now that the weather is nice again, and Natalie and I decided this morning that today was the day. We packed lunches and made a day of it. Emma rode along in the carrier and slept through most of her first zoo trip.
