2020

What a year! This was our strangest year, but also possibly the year of the most growth. Our family is stronger, and our faith is stronger, and for that I am very thankful for all that 2020 was.

Here are some of our 2020 highlights.

Our first ER visit

Emma ran into a door this evening just a couple hours too late to go to the doctor's office, so we made our first trip to the ER. Luckily the doctor was able to close the gash on her forehead with tape and glue instead of stitches. She was brave and calm the whole time. The doctor and nurse both commented on how well she did. She liked that the "EMERGENCY" sign by the entrance started with the same letters as her name. 😊

Lately

Natalie and Max got roller blades for Christmas from Grandpa Mike and Grandma Beth, and they haven't taken them off much since they first opened them.

Chris used the telescope to find Jupiter and Saturn for us a couple nights ago.

Snow!

We were all excited to see the snow this afternoon! It was really coming down when we walked to pick up Natalie and Max from school. The big kids hurried home, put on their layers, and headed out to play!

Luminary Walk

We had a great time at the luminary walk at the arboretum over the weekend! Isabel especially loved it. She giggled and sang most of the way.

First Reconciliation

Natalie made her First Reconciliation today. I have been teaching her and Max Catechism at home this year because of the Covid-related changes to the religion classes offered at the church. We got a couple really great curriculums, and the kids have been doing so well. It has been a great experience for all of us. Natalie worked hard to be ready for today, and she was nervous, but she did great!

Coloring

Emma and I have been coloring up a storm lately, and I'm loving it.

She started posing once she knew I was taking her picture.

And here's an unrelated but sweet Isabel smile!
