2014

What a year!

Every once in a while at the end of the day, Chris and I will look at each other and one of us will say, "We have a pretty great life," and that's exactly what I thought when I looked through these pictures. This year has been good to us, and we're excited to see what 2015 will bring.

Happy New Year, everyone! We wish you all a blessed 2015!

Christmas!

Today both of the kids were sick and the temperature outside was 14 degrees - nothing too blog-worthy. Christmas, however, was wonderful and definitely blog-worthy, so here you have it:  Christmas, five days late.

Christmas Eve

Opening presents,

eating wrapping paper,

breaking in new high heels,

baking cookies for Santa (in Max's new pajamas),

smiling to try to make up for the fit thrown at church,

and waiting for Santa in new Christmas jammies.

All in a day's work.

Christmas Round 1

We hosted Christmas with my dad's side of the family at our house on Sunday. It was our first time hosting a holiday family get-together, so I was a little nervous, but it all seemed to go fairly well. Natalie and Max are currently (until April!) the only kids in the family, so they ate up all of the attention.

Snow!

We were excited to wake up to snow on the ground this morning.

Here Natalie was saying, "Frosty will come, Max!" (Yes, she woke up with the tutu on. She went to bed without it. No one really knows when it was added.)

Natalie took Max on his first sled ride this afternoon.

They didn't make it very far before they tipped, so we moved on to snowman building.

Not the prettiest snowmen. Not the sturdiest either. The mom didn't last even an hour, and the dad had a serious lean this evening.

We finished off our snow fun with hot chocolate inside.
