Pretend School

The big cousins are going back to school next week, and Natalie is sure that she goes to "pretend school". Pretend school is even better with new backpacks filled with bubbles, paper, and colors from Grandma Patty. The kids used them to take their library books back a few days ago, and the cuteness was too much for me not to force them into taking a holding hands picture.

Story Time

Today was our first day of actual story time at the library this summer since Natalie was sick for the first two weeks and last week was just the firetruck tour without any stories. Natalie and Max actually sat really well for the stories which is a huge improvement over last year when I spent the story-reading part of story time chasing one-year-old Natalie around with a sleeping baby Max strapped to me. After the stories and snack, we went outside to play with bubbles. Max and his happy squeals were the center of attention!

Firefighters

Natalie and Max got to explore an ambulance, a fire truck, and a police car at the library yesterday.

Lately

Natalie has been picking "cherries" off of a tree out front. Then she brings them inside to make cherry pie in her play kitchen.

We've been able to take some not-smoldering-hot walks lately!

The library has a kitchen now!

Playing at the Library

The library is only a block away from our house which makes it a great place to go when we're looking for a quick outing. They have a great children's area, so we always play a while before checking out our books.
