Memorial Day BBQ

We had the Hesston O'Hallorans over for a BBQ and water fun for the kids this evening. It was a beautiful evening and a fun start to summer!

Colorado Vacation

We surprised the kids with a family vacation to the Rocky Mountains this week! This was a trip that we have wanted to take for quite a while, and it far exceeded our expectations. The kids had never seen the mountains before, so they were really excited. 

We stayed in the mountains at an Airbnb with a beautiful view and a really fun loft. We hiked, picnicked, played games, and enjoyed the view and the family time on our first two days. The next day we explored Native American cliff dwellings and Garden of the Gods. We had the best time. It was such a fun way to kick off our summer break!

Last Day of School

Thursday was the last day of school! The kids had a great year, but we're all excited for summer! It was also Natalie's last day of elementary school. We got to go to the 4th grade "clap up" where we lined the sidewalk and clapped the 4th graders up to middle school. 

Mother's Day

We had a great Mother's Day yesterday. It feels kind of silly to be celebrated for receiving such a beautiful gift. I am so thankful for motherhood and all of the ways that it is whittling and refining me.

Lots of Reading

Short Climb

Abby has recently learned how to step up onto the bathroom step stool, but she hasn't yet learned how to step down. She steps up and then shouts, "Mama! Mama! Mama! Mama!" for me to come to her rescue. 

Snuggly

Abby loves all things soft and cuddly. She hugs stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, and even the towels as I'm folding laundry. She especially loved the big squishy animals at Dillons yesterday after church. 

Friday Fun

On our way to the park today Isabel said, "Mama, I wish I was an astronaut so I could catch the moon with my butterfly net." 

Fun Run

The school fun run was last Friday. The weather for the fun run is usually hot, but this year it was cold and rainy! (All photo credit goes to Lacy because the little girls and I didn't brave the rain).
