Our spring has looked a lot like this. These three are monkeys. They found a nest full of baby birds at the top of one of our trees a few days ago!

More Walking
We knew it wouldn't be long! Now Isabel walks from one room to another and usually chooses walking over crawling! She squats to pick things up and then stands back up and keeps walking. She's a big girl now!

Last Day of School
Today was technically the last day of the school year, though it feels like the last day was actually in March. Natalie and Max did well with their schoolwork at home these last couple months, and I really enjoyed getting to see how much they're learning. To wrap up the year, Natalie's class had a talent show over Zoom this evening, and Max has been spending some time with Flat Mrs. Flaming.

10 Months!
Sweet Isabel gets more fun every day. She is ten months old today, and we just can't get enough of the little personality that is emerging from our girl.
She has all sorts of tricks that she likes to show off. Most of her tricks are cute noises she makes with her mouth, but our current favorite is when she says "hiiiiiiiiiiiii" while waving her hand back and forth.
She loves baths, going outside, climbing on Emma's bed, watching me brush my teeth, and her sippy cup of water. She has four teeth, and lately she has been eating just as much supper as the big kids eat.
She is walking better every day. She can walk halfway across the living room before falling down now. I'm so excited to watch her grow into a little toddler, but a part of me will be sad when she no longer prefers crawling to walking. The crawling stage doesn't seem to last too long, but it's such a sweet one, so I'm savoring the last bit of it while it lasts.
Ten months with Isabel have flown by. We all gush over her daily. She makes life so sweet!

Lately
Emma and Max helped plant flowers from Grandpa John's greenhouse.
This is Isabel's signature pose when she is tired in the evenings. Max tried it with her.
Isabel is a really great eater anymore. She gets seconds, thirds, and fourths. Here she is eating taco meat, rice, cheese, and tomatoes.
We painted rocks this afternoon, and Emma ended up with a beautiful rock and lots of (thankfully washable) paint all over her clothes.

Weekend in YC
We were all excited to get to visit my parents again last weekend! Their new tree swing was a big hit! The kids also had fun catching tadpoles and helping build the weenie roast fire. Max and Natalie even got to shoot the bb gun. A weekend outside and reunited with family was just what we needed.

Happy May Day!
We love May Day around here! This May Day was the best yet. We delivered a record number of baskets and received a record number of baskets too. The kids even managed to leave a couple baskets on door steps without being caught. We are really hoping that our rose bushes bloom in time for May Day next year though because cut roses are a lot less time-consuming than paper flowers!
